Office Information
Appointments
Quality treatment in a caring environment is the primary goal of our office. To achieve this, it is impossible to see every patient at the time they may desire. Our schedule has been designed for the convenience of our patients, with some very specific objectives:
- To accommodate patients at their appointed times
- To allow appointments to be as thorough as possible and as frequent as necessary.
- To minimize the need for excessive time away from school and/or work
With this in mind, we have designed a schedule with the majority of patients’ appointed during more desirable times. Longer or more involved procedures are performed in reserved times throughout the morning, or early afternoon hours.
We ask that should you need to reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. This courtesy allows another patient to take advantage of that available appointment time.
Emergencies
For the convenience and comfort of all our patients, our answering service will respond to any emergency situation, 24 hours a day / seven days a week.
Payment Options and Insurance
Being sensitive to the fact that people have different needs for fulfilling their financial obligations, our office offers several flexible options for financial arrangements.
Payment Schedules are arranged to fit individual needs, including options which allow for multiple family members to obtain treatment with arrangements for payment over a longer, extended period of time.
We are pleased to accept the assignment of insurance benefits. Our experienced business staff will help determine your orthodontic insurance coverage, if any, and submit claims on your behalf. As insurance can often be confusing, we encourage any and all questions you may have regarding your insurance benefits.
The Importance of Cooperation
The estimated time determined to complete each patient’s treatment plan can depend on several of or all of the following:
- A patient’s growth – or lack of growth
- The rate at which a patient’s teeth will move
- The severity of the patient’s problem
- Most important of all – the patient’s cooperation.
The orthodontist creates an environment in which the patient treats himself/herself. The orthodontist provides the “battle plan”, but the patient is the one who makes it work by following it. Success requires good, intelligent planning by the orthodontist, and a commitment by the patient to make the treatment work.
The following patient responsibilities are key to obtaining a successful treatment result:
- Wearing removable appliances and auxiliaries as directed
- Maintaining proper oral hygiene
- Refraining from eating certain foods
- Keeping regularly scheduled appointments
The success of treatment depends largely on you – the patient.
